After careful consideration, Caltrans selected the Tele Atlas®/ONE program to help develop and provide its base map. Once Caltrans completed the task in partnership with Tele Atlas’, the organization began to see the benefits of a common base map that could serve as the data standard for all cities, counties, and transportation departments throughout California – allowing the various agencies to share critical information faster and more efficiently.
