Tele Atlas nominates new Supervisory Board member.
‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, May 14, 2007 – Tele Atlas (FSE: TA6, EUNV: TA), a leading global provider of digital maps and dynamic content for navigation and location based solutions, today announced the nomination of a new Supervisory Board Member.
The Supervisory Board of Tele Atlas N.V. will propose at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on May 31, 2007 to appoint Ben Hollingsworth Jr. as a new member of its Supervisory Board. In accordance with the Dutch Corporate Governance Code, the appointment will be for a maximum period of four years.
Hollingsworth is a founder and the former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Group 1 Automotive, Inc., a Fortune 500 company and a leading operator in the automotive retailing industry. In addition to various community service activities, Hollingsworth is currently a member of the J.P. Morgan Chase Houston Regional Advisory Board and the Council of Overseers of the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University.
From 1975 to 1986, Mr. Hollingsworth served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and later as President of Service Corporation International (“SCI”). He has previously served on the Boards of several public and private companies.
In addition, the company also announced that in connection with his change from General Partner of New Enterprise Associates (NEA) to Venture Partner and NEA Board Advisor, Mr. Peter Morris will resign as a member of the Tele Atlas supervisory board after having served on it for the last 3 years.
