As location information becomes a critically important issue to every mobile handset maker, network operator, automotive manufacturer, computer manufacturer and software maker around the world, the number of digital maps being used in devices will continue to grow. So too will consumer demand for dynamic content. Users expect their navigation devices to not only safely and accurately guide them to their destinations, but lead them to everything they may want along the way.
End user input and feedback about maps and points of interest is proving instrumental in helping us to maintain the quality and integrity of our maps at the highest level possible and to deliver innovative new products. Community input provides real world measurements that are unavailable from any other source. With community-based information, Tele Atlas can detect change much faster than before and build it into the map much more accurately. We can also deliver new products such as Speed Profiles and Real Time Traffic.
Our goal is to deliver a new generation of maps, dynamic content and routing intelligence. Working with other TomTom business units, we are creating a world-class approach to providing great navigation solutions that customers can use to differentiate themselves and gain competitive advantage.
